We are very happy with this purchase. It's accurate to the Amazon discription. We've been feeding a stray cat since summertime and he was sleeping in our garbage. With the cold weather arriving we wanted to get him a shelter that provided some heat. I researched a lot of them and decided on this one because it was reasonably priced and bigger than many others. The stray kitty loves it! He hardly leaves it now! Its nice and big and I'm very happy with the heating pad temperature - it's warm, not overly hot. The metallic insulation is really nice too because the kitty occasionally gets it dirty and it cleans up so easily!Some reviews criticized how snug the fabric was that the frame goes through but it just requires a little patience and finesse near the seam area. It has to be tight because of it's elevated nature. If it was loose it would sag too much when kitty was in it. Our instructions were missing. Either that or I misplaced them. But it's construction was straightforward and very easy just by referencing the photos and using a bit of common sense.I'm very happy with the cord of the heating pad. I checked it often at first and it never got too hot or anything. The one thing I would mention is that the heating pad itself had a warning on it to use it in a covered area. I assume it being in the shelter was sufficient but it's worth noting as wind & rain can be unpredictable and it did get a little damp at times. When we realized how much the kitty loved it we decided to get a wooden structure so his food could be covered too. We removed the plastic framing and this unit fit perfectly inside the wooden structure. It's perfect!Additionally, The heating pad fits well inside 18×18 inch throw pillow covers. So, we got a couple of those and we change up the pad cover occasionally to allow for additional cleaning.*Please note that the 2nd picture I posted is this shelter inside the wooden structure that we purchaced separately, with a replacement pad cover. The origional pad cover is plush and soft but not long & fuzzy like what is shown in this picture. Also, We left the roof off & removed the fabric door cover (actually cutting them off) as they were now redundant in the new structure. Hope this is helpful to others looking.
