Like everyone else I had issues with the heel. Very uncomfortable and weird fit. I wore them for a few hours and returned them because I couldn't even walk without my heel rubbing.Nice boot, I'm petite so even tied tightly its big at the calf. But it's well build and I can't blame company for my leg width being smaller than average. The rest of the boot fits well. They look like picture. Tough soles.I thought that these boots fit true to size. I needed Steel toe boots to visit a manufacturing plant, but I don't expect to walk a lot in them. Because of the slimmer profile, these boots weren't as comfortable as a pair of Wolverine Belle's that I got from Academy. The steel toe digs into my foot a little bit after a while so i took off a star. Also, I think thick, tall socks are required since there's zero padding on the back of the heel, and the plaid material is a rough canvas-type fabric. My hiking and running socks worked pretty well, but I can definitly see why people get blisters.Update: wore these for two weeks straight. They're pretty comfortable now that I've broken them in, and I didn't get any blisters since I wore thick Rei wool socks. However, the leather looks a little worn out and shows scratches easily. they're supposed to be work shoes though, so I guess it helps me blend in with the other workers onsite. Overall I would recommend them.I work in a lumber yard, these are so awesome, no pain breaking them in, they are comfortable, perfect fit to your size, very durable, I am so happy with them, I would buy them again even if they weren't for work cuz they are cute too!!!!The quality is ok but they DO NOT fit true to size. I ordered half a size up AND wide but the toe box was still a bit too tight for comfort. Also the fabric cuff rubbed against my calf. Even though I only tried them on and wore on my carpet for 20 minutes then returned them I only got a 2/3 refund? IF YOU HAVE THE SLIGHTEST PROBLEM WITH SHOE FIT, DO NOT BUY THESE. GO TO A STORE WHERE YOU CAN TRY ON BOOTS. THE SELLER ACTUALLY CHARGED ME BECAUSE THE BOX WAS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING BY UPS! Unreal!took some break in time (normal) my daughter works an assembly line and the soles were ideal for conditions.Usually before I buy anything, I read a lot of the reviews. For some reason, when I bought these, I didn’t read ANY reviews at all until after I placed the order. I was worried when I did go through the reviews and saw a bunch of people complaining about blisters on their heels. I bought some moleskin before the shoes arrived because I was worried about it, as I bought these for work and would be wearing them daily. I love how these boots look, but they DO cause blisters. They ate through the moleskin I put on my heels and did cause my heels to blister when I decided to try wearing them without the moleskin tape. Fortunately, once I started wearing thicker, taller socks, the blistering hasn’t been a problem- except I hate being forced to wear thick socks every day. I want to rate these boots higher because I do like them, but shoes that blister are a huge problem that I just can’t look past.Get a half size bigger. I wear a 7 and got a 7 1/2 and it fits well with thick socks. With steel stoe its best to be a tad too big than too small. One thing is that on my righr foot i could feel the shoe pressing in to the top of my foot when i first got them, though since breaking them in it doesnt anymore.I bought these for hiking boots, and they are the best boots I've ever owned. Definitely worth the money. Put a coat of leather all on them and they stay looking brand new!
