It was fairly easy for two people to assemble. Size is good for the space I had available. I added an opening so they could go in and out of the garage on their own. I elevated it on a 3ft table to allow an access opening to the window and also to give the cats a better view. They didn’t like being in it on the ground. It was hard to get them in and out before they had their own access door. They go into it early in the morning as the birds are waking up and often go into it late in the evening to. They use the elevated perches.The roof was not waterproof where the panels met. They need better support. I added a wood-framed plastic roof that angles to drain water off. I have a larger Catio at another house and it’s under a deep patio roof. Works just fine there.This is a good size, great idea and the mesh screen is strong. The wood frame is not as sturdy and a shelf broke off the first day from the weight of the cat (the wood piece broke in half). The top is made from asphalt material that gets little black rocks EVERYWHERE. I don’t recommend for inside unless you replace the top with something else. Overall it serves it’s purpose but I could have bought the materials and made a better one cheaper.My 3 outdoor cats love this shelter. I can put their litter box and sleeping boxes inside of it and know that they are protected from other outside critters at night. I have the shelter on our covered porch so it is protected from the rain/snow already. I just needed something to keep other animals out and the cats in. The shelter is sturdy enough but I wouldn’t say it is the sturdiest thing you’ll find out there (the wood is fairly soft). The assembly was manageable with an electric screwdriver. One piece needed reinforcement because it came broken which wasn’t hard for my husband to tackle. Overall, we are pleased with it and more importantly, our cats seem happy in there.The price point was good, but it will require some additional bracing, latches etc to make it suitable to keep your critters in. The screen fabric was held in with staples which could be easily pushed out by any persistent predatorGot two of these and connected them for my cats. Wood frame feels flimsy. Easy to put together. I coated it with weather resistant coating and cover the top with a tarp to keep it from weathering. The roof panels do not seal very well. Water can leak in at top. So best out a tarp over it. Other than this works as expected in enclosing my cats. But if my cats push and climb on the wire mesh, the mesh would eventually be broken.I'm not sure about the weatherproof, it is kept in extra room for my feline, while I'm at work, since I also have a indoor dog. It seems to be holding up rather good with my psycho feline.Wood is flimsyThis item is shoddy and the inside shelves fell off the first time my 5lb kitten jumped on them! Nothing is swayed or level, the wood or whatever it is , is rotting and splintered. There are no pre drilled holes, so when you screw items together the wood cracks. No directions, just tiny photos. Absolute garbage!!! Overpriced cardboard box basically! If I could return it, I would, but they want it taken apart perfectly and placed back into the box! Will never happen!! Had to “Mickey mouse” piecing this together to make it stand. DO NOT BUY!!!
